Third-year Bachelor of Interior Design (Honours) student Hikari Mizushima has won the RMIT Sue Carr Award 2025.
Hikari Mizushima was announced as the winner of the Sue Carr Award at the RMIT INDEX Exhibition opening night on Friday, 28 November.
The jury was impressed by her winning portfolio and professional approach, with Associate Director Ben Nicholas noting:
“Hikari demonstrated maturity, clarity of design thinking, and a balance between conceptual freedom and the technical ability to realise her designs.”
The Sue Carr Award acknowledges the academic achievement of a third-year student in the Bachelor of Interior Design (Honours) program at RMIT University. The award recognises excellence in design and communication. The prize includes $5,000 to support the winner’s final year studies, as well as the opportunity to undertake work experience at the Carr studio in Melbourne.
