Last Thursday, the Carr studio hosted Designers with Pride, an initiative that brings together local designers to recognise and celebrate queer creative talent in the LGBTQI+ community.
In support of recent events launched by Hassell and Grimshaw, Carr was proud to host an evening to celebrate the iconic contributions of queer designers across a range of disciplines in Australia and abroad. From Eileen Gray to Vincent Van Duysen to Andy Warhol, and Jil Sander, queer designers have and continue to leave an indelible mark on the design industry.
As an LGBTQI+ networking event, the evening was an opportunity for Melbourne-based designers, architects and allies to come together for lively conversation and inclusivity. It was great to see everyone come together and take this initiative to another level.
