For all its buzz, world-class shopping precincts and considerable gastronomical prowess, when it comes to booking a hotel in Melbourne, most of the hotel options include a sky rise building or something more boutique. While these are both perfectly great options, if you’re looking for more of an authentic, or shall we say local experience, you probably need to rent an apartment in one of Melbourne’s many diverse suburbs. But then, you’ll sadly forfeit the comfortable hotel experience.
