For those that choose to live a life with horses, there’s little time to dedicate to usual household tasks. More than simply a hobby, equestrian pursuits are a way of life. Necessity is the mother of all inventions and in this case the commitment required to care for a busy family and horses, demands a home that is simplistic in design and low maintenance in nature. Designed to echo the utilitarian ethos of this hardworking family and to withstand the elements of its rural location, the result is a home, sympathetic to the landscape and its origins, where daily routines and ritual are simplified.
